Dr. Stuart Covington Fry
Dr. Stuart Covington Fry, DMD, is a graduate of Utah Valley State College (now UVU) and Brigham Young University before completing dental school. He received his Doctorate of Medicine in Dentistry at the University of Nevada Las Vegas in 2010. In 2008, during dental school, he enlisted as active duty in the US Navy and served our service members in the Navy, Marines, Air Force, and Army for 8 years. He completed a General Practice Residency at Portsmouth Naval Hospital which combined dental and medical training. He further trained in military emergency field medicine aspiring to attach to special units. He then served the Marines where he was forward deployed to Okinawa, Japan, and deployed three times with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, as their dental officer and medical liaison.
“After I separated from the Navy and entered civilian life, it was obvious that civilian dentistry has its advantages, but lacked greatly in the ability to support the patient. This is due to the lack of dental/medical education by providers and the restrictions set by insurances. I want to give all patients the full care they deserve without being restricted by an insurance company. Everyone deserves comprehensive oral care, and to be educated how it directly affects their general health. I continue to learn the mouth-body connections through advanced continuing education that can improve everyone’s wellness. I genuinely care about everyone’s health and wellness and that is why I have developed this style of clinic.”
Dr. Stuart Covington Fry grew up with a passion for human health and aspired to work in medicine. His undergrad research included sports medicine, physiology, and exercise science. He became passionate in dentistry when he learned he could do more service and broaden his reach to serve more people through this type of medicine. He has organized service missions and looks to continue his service to less fortunate countries.
He served a religious mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Chile, Viña Del Mar mission, and speaks fluent Spanish. He married in 2002 to his adored wife, and has 4 amazing kids. They love the outdoors with all the activities provided by God’s great creations, especially skiing. Dr. Stuart Covington Fry loves to ride all types of boards including skating and snowboarding, but his true passion since he was 11 is surfing. He loves playing team sports and participating in extreme distance individual events. He earned himself a community label of “Jack-of-all-trades” as he provides service for family and neighbors in building, auto, electrical, and general medicine.
